Unicredit will buy back around 1 billion euros ($1.09 billion) of its own shares, it said Tuesday.
The Milan-based banking group said the buyback follows the continuing first tranche of its 2022 program, which amounts to EUR2.34 billion.
Unicredit will begin the second portion once the first is complete, it said.
